How can a part time job help me?

There's more to be gained from working part time than just the money. You can also benefit from the following:

  • developing skills and gaining experience to improve your CV and give you something to talk about at interview.
  • the possibility of an employer keeping you on throughout your course. Some employers will offer extra hours during vacation periods.
  • utilising skills developed on your course and putting theory into practice.
  • developing other skills that may not be taught on your course. These could be specialised technical skills or more general transferable skills
